Bio
Luke Perry was born to Coy Luther Perry Jr., a steelworker and Ann Perry. His parents separated when he was just 6 years old and he lived with his mother and stepfather in Fredericktown, Ohio, attending Fredericktown High School where he was the school mascot, “Freddie Bird.”
At the age of 18, Luke moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an actor, supporting himself with odd-jobs and extra work in music videos, including Twisted Sister’s Be Chrool to Your Scuel in 1985.
His first major role was a recurring role in the soap, Loving, where he played Ned Bates between from 1987-1988. He followed this with the role of Kenny in another soap, Another World before landing the part that catapulted him to teen idol status. Dylan McKay in Beverley Hills, 90210, which ran throughout the 90s.
It was during this time that he landed the role of Pike in Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as well as appearing in other movies and provide voice work animated TV series, The Simpsons, Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm, The Incredible Hulk and Biker Mice from Mars.
Luke continued to work steadily after 90210 ended, with starring roles in TV Series, Jeremiah, Windfall and John from Cincinnati and guest roles in series such as Will & Grace, Leverage, Community, as well as a string of TV Movies, a music video for The Killers and a London West End rune as Harry in When Harry Met Sally alongside Alyson Hannigan.
At the time of his death Luke has completed filming for Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and was a regular cast member in TV series. Riverdale.
Luke passed away on 4 March 2019 at the age of 52, due to complications following a stroke.

Luke was buried in the grounds of the farm he owned in Tennessee in an Infinity Burial Suit made from mushrooms.
